Black-tailed Godwit (Limosa limosa)
A large wader, frequently encountered on passage in Shropshire. The long straight bill, long legs and of course the black tail-band distinguish it from Bar-tailed Godwit. Late Spring/Summer birds are often seen in orange-rufous summer plumage.
