Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata)

A Summer visitor found in suitable habitat perched upright watching for flying insects, tail flicking as it waits. Large black eyes, black legs and fairly nondescript grey-brown plumage with white underparts. Whilst declining locally, a few birds turn up each year.
