Kittiwake (Rissa tridactyla)

Locally common coastal Gull, the pure white plumage, black legs and black tipped primaries give adults a distinct appearance. These images are from a trip to the Farne islands, home for a large breeding colony. Once visited, the characteristic call will be etched on the brain for ever!
